Patricia Lutu joined the Department of Computer
Science on 1 July, 2010. She obtained the BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree from the
University of Manchester, United Kingdom, in 1979 and the MSc Computer Science degree from the
University of Manchester, in 1981. Since 1981, she has lectured in Computer
Science at the University of Ife in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, National University of Lesotho in Roma, Lesotho,
University of Transkei in Umtata,
and the former Vista University in Pretoria. She lectured in Informatics at
the University of Pretoria from February 2002 to 30 June 2010.
Patricia Lutu is the
member of the Computational Intelligence Research Group (CIRG) in the
Department of Computer Science. Her research interests include: data
mining, machine learning, application of Artificial Intelligence techniques
to data mining, business intelligence and
decision support systems.
