Current and previous projects

Views

Views is a system for writing language and platform independent GUIs based on XML. It is a joint project between the University of Victoria, Canada and the University of Pretoria, South Africa, begun in 2002. Views can be used with all .NET languages (C#, C++, VB etc) and now runs on Windows, Unix and Linux. The latter versions make use of the shared source .NET frameworks (Rotor and Mono) as well as Qt for graphics rendering. Views is used in the book C# Concisely by Bishop and Horspool. The project is funded by Microsoft Research (Europe), Microsoft Research (Canada) and an NRF/THRIP grant in South Africa.
