I obtained my B.Sc Computer Science degree in 1997 after which I studied part-time and completed my Honours degree in 1999 and my MSc in 2005. The MSc covered some aspects of quality of service in computer networks. I am currently busy with my Ph.D in Computer Science. For this I am looking at ways to obtain concurrent versions of the sequential algorithms in the finite automata domain. In 1998 I started working at Eskom in their Information Technology department's network planning group. In 2001 arivia.kom was born from Eskom, Transnet, and Denel. In 2003 I decided to move to the University of Pretoria, where I am currently employed as a lecturer.
